Looks like Food pricing will stay high (not that I expected any different)

With world demand, floods, fire and other natural disasters taking there toll on the worlds food supply pricing and shortages will remain high. Other controversial  factors such as Ethanol lend to the problem as well as recently remarked by former President Clinton.

"We have to become energy independent but we don't want to do it at the expense of food riots," Clinton said in the keynote address.

Very interesting read indeed Scott! All the solutions seems to be a catch 22 when I think of it. Shudder to think where we are headed.

Kriti, yes you are right, no matter what we do something will suffer, this is a very big issue that most people are just to scared to even look at. I equate a lot of things to numbers and this is an area where the numbers tell us we are in very serious trouble.

Thank you for stopping by.

Scott, food shortages have been in the works for a while now.Droughts,floods,etc.No real stock piles of grain anymore. Now through in the dollar being darn near worthless and oil suddenly going through the roof. Yeah, bad times indeed! Prepping looks smarter by the day.

Morning China, Yes we preppers have seen the writing one the wall for quite a while, it is nice to be validated though when you see serious reports by the MSM. I can only hope that some will start to take heed but I am not holding my breath.

Thanks for stopping by China
