In Sunday-evening surprise, Senate unanimously passes food safety bill

"Tonight we unanimously passed a measure to improve on our current food safety system by giving the FDA the resources it needs to keep up with advances in food production and marketing, without unduly burdening farmers and food producers,” he said. Rest of the story here

Food safety my backside. Try control you ignorant morons.

Sorry but this is the biggest LIE about the whole thing I have spent time in the industry and I know better, Have you ever heard of HACCP.  Here is FDA site for it.

HACCP is a management system in which food safety is addressed through the analysis and control of biological, chemical, and physical hazards from raw material production, procurement and handling, to manufacturing, distribution and consumption of the finished product.

The food industry goes out of it's way to ensure product safety now that's not to say there are not some bad apples out there but when your product relies upon customers not getting sick and dying on you then it is in their best interest to promote a safe product.  

I am reminded of how the Government can't even get the mail delivered without loosing money so tell me how they think they can possibly keep my meat and potatoes safe...

Control people, this bill was all about control and anyone who will take the time to read up on there world or even this countries history will know that food is a weapon.  Keep pushing .Gov keep pushing.
