2010?

2010?


     Well 2009 is behind us, no not really. While the calendar year might, we still have all the problems of the past upon us. Left and right I see predictions of things getting worse and from what I see and read I could not disagree  but and if anything I would predict that things might well get worse  versus better . Yes I know I can be too much of a pessimist  but I just call it being reality as I do not think that we have totally hit rock bottom yet and the only things that the stimulus have done is to postpone the reality.







     When we borrow money then borrow more money and then print more money the bottom will fall out sooner or later. Right now you could pretty much say that the CHICOMS own our sorry butts and you can bet they will call it in sooner or later. Right now is the time to be debt free for sure and to not go into debt if you can, Better yet if you can put something back even better. It goes back to that little life insurance thing if you get un-employed or someone has an accident and can't work, having money in the bank and a full pantry does the emotional side of the body a lot of good as well as improving sleep.




     So what to do with the year, well if you are working then work harder, be the better employee it will help if cuts come around, take on more  responsibility, projects or whatever but be  irreplaceable  , be the harder choice to lay off. Any job right now is gold, so keep it even if you don't like it because there are a lot of people out there who would love to have it and are aggressively after it.




     Now out with mother here a little while ago doing some Christmas shopping we stopped into a hospice store and unlike some other secondhand stores this one was clean and had a lot to offer for literally pennies on the dollar. They have everything from clothes to electronics and right now in this economy pennies on the dollar is saving money. I would highly advise hitting your good will too, why spend $40 on a brand new pair of whatever when you can get the same thing for $4, so it is used big deal take it home and wash it. Now if you have kids than so much the better, kids grow so fast that these are where the deals really come in, you might but an outfit that they only could wear for 3 to 6 months and even then they wore it like what 20 times, heck scoop it up, the way my kids grow it is worth it .....
